THE CLASSIC CAR PROJECT
In February 2017 Coventry Transport Museum gave our charity a 1982 Mini to use as a project car. With money from Awards for All we set about restoring her in January 2018.
With the help of some young people not in education, employment or training we worked to get Bluebell the Mini back on the road.
We eventually sold Bluebell as a fully functional vehicle to raise funds for our next project car. We have since worked on several other cars.
With the help of a trained mechanic and an onsite member of the BYP team the young people learn new skills, gain experience and find a sense of achievement in turning a non-runner into a restored and working classic car.
