Meet The Team
Project Manager
Simon
I first came to Bardsley at 13. As a young man the workers at Bardsley helped me though a rocky school life, helped me get into sixth form and later training me in youth work. I started volunteering at bardsley at 18 then became part of the employed team.
Senior Engagement Worker
Kim
I joined Bardsley in May 2021. I have over 30 years experience of working with homeless people in Coventry, London and Great Yarmouth. Having known the team at Bardsley through my work in hostels, I am very excited to have the opportunity to join them and to continue to support the young people of Coventry to achieve their goals in life.
Referrals go through Kim.
Engagement Worker
Becky
I first came to Bardsley when I was 13. As a young person it gave me a safe place to hang out with my friends. When I was 17 I joined the team in a voluntary capacity and later became part of the employed team.

Pat. C
Affectionately known as “Aunty Pat” to the team and young people, Pat was involved for 13 years as a volunteer and is now employed as administrator, treasurer and grant fund raiser for the charity. She has two grown up children and along with her husband ran a successful small business for 23 years. She was a pharmacist up until her 30s and also has a Business Administration degree.
Chair of Trustees
Eric
Bardsley becomes family and friend to many Young people, often innocent victims of times of great need and stress. These young people are assisted and supported by a caring and dedicated team with years of experience and knowledge. Eric joined Bardsley to support staff and volunteers in further enhancing the lives of our young people and of those we are yet to meet. Eric has many years experience in groups working with young people and in Corporate Management in Health, Education and Commerce in UK and overseas.
Communications and Fundraising Worker
Rachel
I joined the project as a young person. Bardsley gave me the stability and social support I needed to improve my life in the face of adversity. I went on to complete my college education and my university degree in Psychology. I am now studying for my masters. During my studies I made the most of optional modules and training related to business psychology and service marketing. I also volunteered with the project assisting at youth groups, community events and helping Bardsley develop a social media presence. Now I am employed part time by the Charity as Communications and Fundraising worker. I enjoy my role thoroughly as it enables me to combine lived experience with my professional training, in a way that is beneficial for the young people of Coventry today.
Volunteers
Like all charities Bardsley Youth Project is dependent on a dedicated and committed team of volunteers. Our volunteers come from all different walks of life with a variety of skills and we wouldn’t survive without them. To be a Bardsley volunteer you just need to be prepared to give your time regularly, be good at making beverages and have plenty of patience.
