Closing the Digital Divide: Cov Connects' Tech Donation Promotes Digital Inclusion for Coventry's Homeless & Vulnerably Housed Young People

Laptops, phones and phone charges donated through the CovConnects digital inclusion scheme in Coventry

This month CovConnects donated laptops and phones to the Bardsley Youth Project!

Their generosity means digital inclusion for Young People experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness in Coventry.

🖥 Laptops for Empowerment: The laptops will enable our Young People to access Homefinder and bid on properties, as well as upload crucial documents to their benefits accounts. Young People will also be able to write CV's, as well as search for and apply for jobs. Access to internet-connected devices at Bardsley Youth Project empowers Young People to take control of their journey, enabling them to independently complete tasks with the option to access support if needed.

📱 Phones for Connection: The mobile phones provided by Cov Connects will ensure that Young People who are homeless or at risk of homelessness without a phone have the means to stay connected. They will be able to reach out to family, friends, support services, and access housing and benefits services. These devices also serve as internet-connected tools for daily essential tasks that we often take for granted.
