Bardsley Youth Project is making a real impact in the Coventry community by ensuring that young people moving into accomodation have the essentials they need to start their independent journeys with confidence. With the support of local businesses and individuals, we’ve helped furnish countless homes, turning empty spaces into places of comfort and stability.
Our work goes beyond simply providing furniture – it’s about creating a fresh start for young people who have often faced significant challenges. Through partnerships, in the past we’ve been able to repurpose high-quality, surplus items from offices, production sets and employee clear-outs ensuring that waste is minimised while supporting those in need.
How Your Business Can Get Involved
Many organisations already play a vital role in supporting our mission, and there are plenty of ways to get involved:
End-of-line products – If you have quality items that are no longer needed, we can put them to good use. Our young people often require common household items and appliances. In particular white goods, and kitchen appliances come in very handy when setting up a home for a young person with few belongings and limited financial resources.
Showroom or office refurbishments – Chairs, coffee tables, home furnishings and more can make a big difference when creating a cosy home environment.
Sustainable use of items no longer needed – Donating to Bardsley Youth Project is a fantastic way to align with circular economy practices.
At present, we have a particular need for sofas to ensure that young people have a comfortable place to relax in their new homes. If your business is able to help, we’d love to hear from you. We also accept donations from individuals as well.
A Partnership That Makes a Real Impact

A coach who referred a young person to us gave us this feedback: "The young person put it all together . She is so happy with the items she was donated".
And one of our young people told us: "I can’t believe you guys helped me so much. You’ve given me more than I thought I would get. I thought I was only getting a bed, and now I’ve got everything I need to move into my new place. This place is amazing. I had no idea there was something like this out there."
We can't begin to thank organisations such as Warwick Events & SPACE-2 who have consistently gone above and beyond, donating items to help young people create their homes.
